The Orange Door (TOD)
Service provided
TOD is the central intake service that offers individuals and families in need of support with an entry point to access the range of services they may require from across the specialist family violence, men’s family violence (perpetrator), child FIRST, child protection and Aboriginal service supports.
TOD works with all types of families and support can be tailored to meet the diverse needs of family members.
TOD can help where families are:
- Worried about the wellbeing and/or development of child(ren).
- Need help to strengthen parenting skills and develop positive family relationships.
- Need help to get through stressful times, which may be caused by a range of reasons including separation, mental health, grief, drug and alcohol abuse, financial worries, illness or living with a disability.
- Need extra help managing the behaviour of child(ren).
- Feel unsafe or afraid because of someone in the home.
- Pregnant or a new parent and need support and advice.
- Concerned for a vulnerable child.
TOD is open 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday (closed public holidays).

Target population
TOD – Loddon provides services to people in the local councils of Macedon Ranges, Greater Bendigo, Campaspe, Mount Alexander, Central Goldfields, and Loddon
Eligibility criteria
Free service for adults, children, young people, regardless of migration status. People can seek help if they are a migrant or refugee or do not have permanent residency.
Referral pathway
Individuals can self-refer, walk in or call 1800 512 359.
Service providers can email Loddon@orangedoor.vic.gov.au with TOD referral form or call 1800 512 359 for a secondary consult.
