Service provided

Material aid provided includes:

• Mini food pantry with non-perishable food items,
• Occasionally garden produce and bread, and toiletries.
• Free books, DVDs, some knitted goods.
• Community lunches.
• Assistance to access the Power Saving Bonus
• Tax Help

Other services include:

• Safe Seats Safe Kids: Car Restraint Checks.
• Three different playgroups: - Loddon Campaspe Multiculural Services Playgroup, smalltalk
• Yoga classes.
• Social Connection.
• Form completion.
• Printing services and Computer Help,
• Social singing group,
• Chatty Café.
• Community Garden (on 1 acre near Victoria Hill), Energetic Street, Long Gully. A great space for families to enjoy gardening and wide-open spaces. Garden beds available for hire.

Target population

Long Gully and surrounding residents, particularly:

• anyone experiencing hardship,
• anyone with kids looking for a playgroup,
• anyone experiencing loneliness/isolation,
• multicultural groups including the local Karen population.

Eligibility Criteria

Apart from the supported playgroups, most programs and events do not have eligibility criteria, and all are welcome.

Referral pathway

Apart from the supported playgroups, no referrals are needed for Long Gully Neighbourhood Centre.
