Lifely
Funding model
Block funded:
- The advocacy service is funded through carers services and is a free service.
- The Sibling Social Groups are HACC funded. This is a free service but there can be a small co-payment for activities.
Services provided
- Advocacy
Lifely advocates are independent of Lifely, and act solely in the interests of clients, helping people exercise choice and control over their NDIS experience. The service helps people to access the NDIS; prepare for plan reviews; help people understand NDIS decisions and evaluate ‘reviewable decisions’.
- Sibling Social Groups
Lifely’s sibling social groups are designed for children and teens who have a sibling or family member with a disability to hang out with kids their age going through similar experiences. Led by a trained community facilitator; the monthly sessions give siblings a much-needed break, a chance to develop as an individual and make friends with other kids who understand their lives.
Target population
People aged 0 – 65 living with a disability.
Eligibility Criteria
- Advocacy eligibility: A person with a disability and/or their family member or carer (nominee) who requires support to access the NDIS or with a review of NDIS service.
- Sibling social group: Children and young people who have a family member living with a disability, such as siblings or parents.
