• Family Dispute Resolution (FDR)
• Property Dispute Resolution (PDR)

Service provided

• FDR is a mediation process that encourages parents to focus on children’s’ needs, developing a parenting plan and resolving disputes as an alternative to court. FDR is mostly for separated parents, but sometimes significant others, particularly grandparents, may participate.
• PDR is a process that assists separated couples to reach agreement about financial issues, such as a division of assets and responsibilities for liabilities.

Target population

Separated or separating parents.

Eligibility Criteria

FDR services are subsidised by the Commonwealth Government. A means-tested co-contribution is payable.
