Bendigo Health – Dietetics
Description
The Community Health Dietetics service can help people with conditions such as (but not limited to) diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders (such as coeliac disease and irritable bowel syndrome), food allergies/intolerances, fussy eating, sensory-based feeding difficulties, eating disorders, growth concerns (such as failure to thrive), and can provide weight-related assistance.
They also provide general dietary advice to people without any diagnosed conditions.
Target Population
From birth to 65 years.
Note: If linked with another Bendigo Health service, some referrals may be redirected to a more suitable dietetics service within Bendigo Health.
Referral pathway
Referrals are received and accepted from any source, including (but not limited to):
- General Practitioners/Paediatricians
- Health Care workers
- Maternal Child Health Nurses
- Department of Education - School nurses
- Department of Human Services - Disability Services, Community Health Services, Family Services
- Self-referrals
