Funding Model
This is an FFS practice. Families wanting to access this service will need to:
- Self-fund and obtain a reimbursement from their private health insurance provider (if covered),
- Access Medicare funding (such as using a Chronic Disease Management Plan), or
- Use NDIS funding.

Service Provided
For Pre-School and School age children Bendigo Speech Works provides:
- Assessment and treatment of paediatric developmental language and articulation delays
- Intervention for literacy difficulties
- Therapy and support for children with hearing impairments
- Assessment and treatment of children with Autism, Downs Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy
- Evidence based therapy for stuttering and voice disorders
- Experience working with children and teenagers affected by acquired brain injury.
- Development of programs to assist with social skills development, including paired or small group sessions.
- Development of individualised Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems to support communication.
- Assessment and treatment of infant feeding and swallowing associated with oro-motor difficulties
Target Population
Children aged 0-7
Eligible Criteria
Vulnerable children and those with swallowing difficulties are triaged.
