Children’s Contact Service
Description
The Children’s Contact Service (CCS) is run by The Salvation Army in Bendigo Victoria, a not-for-profit organisation. The CCS supports families, who are no longer living together, in proving a safe environment to facilitate, and nurture contact between children and their parents with a strong focus on the Best Interests of the Child.
Referral process
Referrals can be made by the Family Law Courts, solicitors, Family Mediation services or self-referrals.
What’s offered
The service provides Supervised Contact between a parent and child/ren, Changeover service if parents are not yet able to engage with one another, and Assisted Changeover service supporting parents to be present with one another again. All cases are allocated a Case Manager to oversee and support families to move towards self-managed contacts and the development of a successful co-parenting relationship.
